Dermaplaning is a precise, physical exfoliation. Using a sterile blade held flush to the skin, your practitioner lifts away the layer of dead surface cells and the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) that sits on top of healthy skin.
Removing that layer is what gives the immediate, glass-like smoothness, and it lets the serums and masks that follow reach the skin properly instead of sitting on debris. It is mechanical, not chemical, so there is no acid on the skin and no peeling afterwards.

No. Vellus hair grows back at the same texture and colour it was before. Dermaplaning removes it at the surface; it does not change the follicle.
